Pretty noona who buys me food,” says Seo Joon-hee, played by Jung Hae in as the show explores common social problems in Korea. As mentioned earlier, it was his first-ever appearance in a drama as the male lead. The female lead in the show was none other than Son Ye-jin. She portrayed the character of Yoon Jin-ah, an unmarried woman in her mid-30s who falls in love with Seo Joon-hee.

Problems unravel as they explore further into their relationship. Jung Hae-in’s character is shown as younger when compared to Son Ye-jin’s to highlight the challenges of dating taboos. Moreover, Joon-hee’s father ran away when he was a kid, which puts him at disadvantage when society questions his reputation.

Can they be together in the end? Fans must find out the answer as they sit through this emotional roller coaster.

An Jun-ho is an interesting protagonist from the military-themed K-Drama DP. Jung Hae-in portrayed the character beautifully by diving deep into his psychology.

DP or Deserter Pursuit highlights the tough life inside the Korean military. While some people rise in the hierarchy, others perish under intense pressure. The show touches on the elements of bullying and abuse that forces soldiers to become deserters.

An Jun-ho is keen to investigate, which is why he is placed in a team whose purpose is to track down and catch the military escapees. The show expands on the reason behind their action through the eyes of the protagonist over its runtime. The drama is filled with action, emotion, and warmth making it worthy enough to be in this top five list.

Snowdrop was the talk of 2022 and for a good reason. This K-drama featured Jisoo from Blackpink alongside Jung Hae in to create what some might argue to be a controversial show.

The story takes place in the year 1987, a time when Korea was in a phase of political unrest. Hae-in’s character Lim Soo-hyok is depicted as a North Korean spy disguised as a graduate student in South Korea.

The story takes off when Jisoo’s character Eun Yeong-ro finds a bloodied Lim Soo-hyok and decides to hide him. As the two interact more throughout the show, they fall for each other. However, their surroundings dawn on them with each passing episode, deeming their relationship ill-fated.
